Gisterenavond laat ontving Jubal per email de onverwachte mededeling van het DCE bestuur dat de organisatie met onmiddellijke ingang stopt met alle activiteiten. Wij zijn zeer geschokt dit, zonder enige vooraankondiging of signalen, opeens te moeten vernemen.
Dit betekent dat de DCE zich terugtrekt van het organiseren van de DCE Championships en daarmee samenhangend de DMG/DCN competitie, die door hetzelfde team geleid wordt. Een zeer spijtige ontwikkeling!
Wij betreuren het besluit en de wijze van communicatie in deze ten zeerste.
Afgelopen nacht en vanochtend is direct een intensief contact ontstaan tussen de corps in Nederland, Engeland, Duitsland en Italië, en worden er reeds initiatieven ondernomen om gezamenlijk te bekijken ONZE competitie en activiteit voort te kunnen zetten zodat we ook in 2018 elkaar waar dan ook weer op de contestvelden tegenkomen. De eerste bijeenkomsten met corps managements zijn reeds in voorbereiding.
Vertrouw erop dat Jubal, Jong Jubal en al onze collega’s in Europa er alles aan zullen doen deze prachtige activiteit niet verloren te laten gaan. Niet voor de corps en evenmin voor de supporters!

Last night Jubal received a totally unexpected email from the DCE Board, announcing that Drum Corps Europe will terminate all its current activities effective immediately.
This means that DCE will withdraw from hosting the DCE Championships, and in relation to this also the DMG/DCN competition, which is lead by the same team. A regretful development!
We truly regret this decision and the means of communication in this matter.
Last night and early this morning corps in The Netherlands, England, Germany and Italy immediately touched base about this, and initiatives are already being taken in order to join forces and look into continuing OUR competition and activity so in 2018 we will meet again on the contestfield wherever possible, The first meetings with corps managements are already being scheduled.
Rest assured that Jubal, Jong Jubal and all our colleagues throughout Europe will do their utmost best to make sure our beautiful activity will be preserved. For the corps, but also for our supporters!

Hier soir, Jubal a reçu un e-mail totalement inattendu de la part de l’administration de DCE, annonçant que drum corps Europe mettra fin à toutes ses activités immédiatement.
Cela signifie que DCE se retire de tous les événements qu’ils organisent , à savoir les Championnats DCE, mais aussi DMG/DCN puisque tous ces événements sont dirigées par cette même équipe. Une nouvelle très regrettable !
Nous regrettons sincèrement cette décision et la façon dont cette information nous a été communiqué.
Depuis hier soir et ce matin, nous sommes en contact avec tous les corps des Pays-Bas, d’Angleterre, d'Allemagne et d'Italie, pour joindre nos forces , et des initiatives sont en cours pour unir nos forces et chercher à poursuivre les activités et les compétition en 2018. Pour information, les premières réunions avec les chefs de corps sont déjà programmées.
Soyez sur que Jubal, Jong Jubal et tous nos collaborateurs Européens feront de leur mieux pour s'assurer que notre belle activité soit préservée. Pas seulement pour les drum corps, mais aussi pour tous les fans et les supporters !
